Good size at 5`3`` for the mattress width, this early C20th French paint and GILT highlighted bed is a fine decorative piece and is waiting for some upholstery decisions! Currently, the original tapestry is still on the footboard, but it is marked to the right handside, there is nothing on the headboard, so if you wanted to keep the footend, I can find a simple linen to match. Or, you may just want to change the whole lot and start from scratch. The price will vary but only by a little depending on what you want to do.

This is a nice quality bow foot upholstered French bed, circa 1880. Earlier than many you will see on the internet, better carving, proportions, the deep bow footboard etc set it apart from those early C20th beds. The bed has its original paint which is an off white, please ignore the current fabric as we will re upholster the bed for you in your own fabric within the price shown and supply you with the fitted base. If you need a mattress, I can offer you a handmade pocket sprung mattress and do a bit of a deal on the whole lot!

a7809 6` wide C19th cane

This has to be one of the most beautiful antique beds available at the moment! It is a very fine bed, the "wings" to the headboard have an upward sweep to them and the bow footboard has a "breakfront" which holds the feature panel for the carved basket of flowers. Originally, this bed was gilded on many of these carved details, this is something that can be restored if you wish. There is some work to do on the cane, but this will all be done within the price shown. We will also supply the bed with a supporting base cyrved to match the frame. There are a range of mattresses which I can offer you, good quality pocket sprung with the curved corners - please enquire for more pics of this fantastic bed!

This fine French late C19th solid oak daybed / window seat has been fully re upholstered and is in excellent condition. a8079 Mid C19th 5` bed

This is a very good mid C19th French antique bed, circa 1860. Beautifully cared throughout and a good proportion too, the carving to the centre of the head, the footboard the fluted legs and the finials clearly date this as mid C19th. The bed also has its original paint finish that has distressed well over the years, the upholstery needs replacing and will be done for you within the price shown, along with a supporting base being supplied.
